Quantum Offering Apprentices Opportunities After They’re Qualified

This week marks National Apprentice Week which brings together the entire apprenticeship community to celebrate everything that is amazing about apprenticeships!  As part of the week we’re going to dedicate each day of the week to one of our fabulous apprentices.  Today we interview Paige, our apprentice service administrator.

Paige is hoping to complete her apprenticeship within the next couple of months.  Joining Quantum in October 2021after leaving school Paige has become an integral part of our service team.  As a service administrator, Paige has an office-based role and is often the first point of contact for our customers calling in.  ‘It’s a busy environment, but I enjoy it.  I’ve had hands-on training and got a chance to put my skills into practice while earning a wage and getting a qualification.  I’ve learned so many new skills since joining Quantum, like time management, organisational, communication, customer service skills and technology skills’ explained Paige.

Paige talked to us about the challenges she’s learned to overcome at work ‘At the moment I have moved into more of a service coordination role instead of just doing general admin tasks.  I am currently balancing elements of both, which is a bit of a challenge, I am currently learning how to complete a lot of new tasks while simultaneously completing all of my admin based tasks’.

Looking towards the future, Paige talks about becoming less shy and completing her apprenticeship coursework over the next couple of months.  ‘I’d like to continue to develop my skills, this will make me better at my job and I would like to attend some extra courses, such as health and safety and fire team training to give myself some extra responsibility’.
